The Austonian has a history of delivering true luxury to the Austin market, continuously refining the definition of, and approach to, luxury in downtown Austin. With an established reputation and a proven track record, The Austonian has cemented its place as the pinnacle of Austin’s luxury real estate market, earned from years of developing the ultimate resident experience. The Austonian continues to impress and distinguish itself in reputation, excellence, breathtaking views and the level of luxury available to its residents.
A difficult word to define. Its meaning is relative and can be used to refer to almost anything, or nothing, depending on who you ask. Because the definition of luxury undergoes constant flux and depends very much on the user’s perspective, the term has become an inflationary and worn out label that is superfluously thrown around. At The Austonian, we don’t use luxury lightly, rather, we embody and encapsulate it. The Austonian represents the height of luxury living in downtown Austin – both literally and figuratively – in quality, price point, uniqueness, service and exclusivity.
Imagine a completely custom home specifically designed to suit your personal preferences and style with unimpeded 360 degree views of one of the most beautiful areas in Texas. The penthouses at The Austonian offer this and more—luxurious downtown living and exceptional service with a personal touch. These four, full-floor residences at the peak of the tallest residential building in Texas offer an experience that is unlike anything else in the city.
Over the past year, The Austonian has begun a new phase of construction and interior design on the upper floors of the building, spearheaded by Austin-based luxury design firms GREER Interior Design and Ryan Street & Associates. This month, Austin HOME takes a look at three of these newly finished units from GREER Interior Design in the magazine’s newly released Summer issue.
Each of the amenity spaces at The Austonian – ranging from a dog grooming room, to a library, or the 55th-floor Austonian Club – were thoughtfully designed to be an extension of Austonian residents’ homes. To this end, The Austonian spent years developing an extensive art collection to warm the walls of the building; thus setting the milieu of the luxury high-rise with over 100 pieces of art in styles ranging from the representational to the abstract.
While the city of Austin is bustling with activities associated with spring – enjoying the beautiful weather, the anticipation of SXSW, and much more – The Austonian is pulsing in anticipation for the newly designed interiors of GREER Interior Design and Ryan Street & Associates. Over the past year, both luxury design teams have created specialty floor plans and finishes for new elegant and luxurious homes within The Austonian, and models of these units will be available for prospective residents to see and explore this year.
Two expert luxury design firms, Greer Interior Design and Ryan Street & Associates, have been hard at work over the past year finalizing the plans, details and finishes of a number of custom units near the top of The Austonian luxury condominiums. These units exemplify the emphasis that The Austonian places on customization and provide residents with an unparalleled living experience. The first of the new model units from Greer Interior Design will be available for prospective Austonian residents to see and experience in the building in February.
Jennifer Greer-Hartman and Lindsay Maki of Greer Interiors have worked on the design of public spaces, model homes and select private residences at The Austonian downtown luxury condominiums since the building’s inception. Now, they’re embarking upon a new phase of work, as they develop and execute new floor plans and custom interior design palettes for three floors of the building. For this new phase of development, the two design mavens have drawn from years of high rise interior design experience – gained in Chicago, Washington D.C., San Francisco and New York City – to create completely custom residences for The Austonian and the Austin luxury marketplace.
Austin-based Bravo Interior Design – the firm behind five custom units in The Austonian downtown luxury condominiums – approaches interior design on a completely custom level. So custom in fact, that it spans all stages of the homebuilding process. They work with builders and architects during all stages of the home building process to achieve the most ideal environment for each client and their particular needs which results in environments that are fully-incorporated and cohesive, from the blueprint to the finish out.
Austin-based Ryan Street & Associates is one of the luxury architecture and design firms selected by The Austonian to develop a number of custom units and floor plans for the downtown luxury high-rise. Ryan Street & Associates possess years of custom single-family home experience, along with extensive experience designing large-scale, resort-style projects. Ryan Street himself translates this expertise to downtown living by creating comfortable and luxurious units that capitalize upon the wrap-around views and open floor plans of The Austonian.
Laura Britt Design recently won five first-place awards at the annual ASID Austin Design Excellence Awards. Three of the awards were for interior design of residences at The Austonian luxury high rise condominium.
The public and amenity spaces at The Austonian downtown luxury condominiums are more than just places where residents can gather and socialize; instead, they’re direct extensions of each resident’s individual home. Just as The Lawn serves as an urban backyard for residents, and The Lonestar Bar doubles as an extended living or game room, the curated art collection adorning the walls of the public spaces of the building both accentuates and expands upon the private collections of residents of The Austonian. Totaling more than 100 pieces, The Austonian Art Collection speaks to the elegant and sophisticated sensibility of the luxury high rise, as well as the down-to-earth, creative spirit of Austin, Texas.
