Two expert luxury design firms, GREER Interior Design and Ryan Street & Associates, have been hard at work over the past year finalizing the plans, details and finishes of a number of custom units near the top of The Austonian luxury condominiums.
These units exemplify the emphasis that The Austonian places on customization and provide residents with an unparalleled living experience. The first of the new model units from GREER Interior Design will be available for prospective Austonian residents to see and experience in the building in February.
While Jennifer Greer Hartmann and Lindsay Maki of Greer Interior Design have been intimately involved with The Austonian since the building’s inception in 2009, this phase of work is completely different from anything else they’ve done in the building to-date. Since these units are fully-customized, and feature higher-end selections and materials, the two design mavens have greater creative freedom to express themselves and the wants and needs of the prospective homeowners at The Austonian.
“This project is a great opportunity for us to expand what we’re doing in the building,” Maki said. “While we’ve already had great freedom to express our style and capabilities at The Austonian, this customization project is a chance to showcase a variety of new and unique design palettes that we’ve created specifically for the project. We enjoy the collaborative, living process of working with individual homeowners, too. This is a great chance to take our experience and expertise and stretch it a little.”
This “stretching” takes the form of four high-end custom design palettes that homeowners can select based on their lifestyle and personal design preferences. Each palette speaks to the different kinds of people Greer has seen interested in this type of urban, luxury product, and offers residents a template from which to select the details of their urban luxury home. The palettes range from more classically appointed homes, to homes that are bold and dramatic, with soft modern and artisan varieties in between. Each of these palettes extends
far beyond the finishes, serving as complete design packages that motivate everything in the unit, from architectural details, to coloration, appliances and material selection. Three of these palettes will be showcased in the model units that will available for viewing and for tours this February.
