This Saturday morning, The Trail Foundation and the City of Austin will celebrate the grand opening of the Boardwalk Trail at Lady Bird Lake. After nearly two years of build-up and construction, the 1.1-mile addition to the trail will be officially open to the public at 10 a.m. on June 7th, closing the southeastern gap of the 10 mile loop around the lake.
One of the benefits of high-rise living is the proximity and availability of everything one needs in life. Whether it’s a quick walk down Second Street to the nearby Royal Blue Grocery store, a luxury swimming pool for lounging or laps on the weekend, or a state-of-the-art Theater, The Austonian was designed with its residents’ needs in mind. Three floors of the building are dedicated to providing top-of-the-line services and amenities to accentuate resident’s lives. The first of which is the 10th Floor, which is home to a range of different social and amenity spaces that encompass both the interior and the exterior of the building.
Urban living at The Austonian is about being connected — to the energy and the vibrancy of the city, the events and activities of the urban core, and to one’s neighbors. Because The Austonian was designed to encourage social interactions and activities among residents, there is a sense of community and connectivity that permeates the building and its culture.
