Bespoke, signature and curated are some of the best words to describe the essence and quality of GREER Interior Design’s newly designed interiors at The Austonian downtown luxury condominiums.

For these new units for sale at The Austonian, GREER Interior’s design principals Lindsay Maki and Jennifer Hartmann developed four distinct palettes or design styles inspired by the kinds of buyers they’ve seen interested in urban luxury products – with every detail of these units carefully selected and crafted by the two design doyennes. Each of the eleven units that GREER is finishing out in The Austonian are cohesively and completely designed from the wood floors and baseboards, to the cabinet hardware, wallpapers and more, and all homes feature higher-end materials and finishes sourced from all over the world.

Thanks to decades of experience in the urban luxury marketplace, GREER Interior Design has an intimate understanding of the kinds of people drawn to urban living, which in turn, helped motivate and inspire their new project at The Austonian. As Hartmann put it in an interview with Austin HOME Magazine earlier this year: “It’s almost [as if] we created four imaginary clients [for this project at The Austonian and] and [then] we broke it down. There’s a more modern buyer; a more traditional buyer; someone who wants more of a show piece and desires something more dramatic and unique; then someone who maybe appreciates an artisan crafted feel. For each palette, we thought ‘what does this person want to see?’.”

What they decided, then, was to have these palettes serve as the overarching inspiration for that unit – extending far beyond the furniture and the finishes – to motivate virtually every detail of the space. In the urban artisan units, for example, baseboards are higher and wider to portray a more craftsman look, while the kitchen features bronzed fixtures and wood cabinets with millwork details to create a warmer, handcrafted feel. In the more modern units, on the other hand, narrower baseboards and sleek, gray cabinets with white subway tile in the kitchens create a more minimalist, contemporary environment.

Short descriptions detailing the overarching feel of each of these design styles are included below. Model homes of these units are also currently available to tour and purchase, with photography available on The Austonian website.
