This Saturday TRACE is hosting its third annual Ice Cream Social benefiting SafePlace. Come enjoy gourmet ice cream treats crafted by Pastry Chef Angel Begaye on the TRACE patio on August 16th from 3:00pm to 5:00pm. The event is free, but guests are encouraged to bring school supply donations for local-nonprofit SafePlace’s back to school drive.
The social will feature a sampling of unique seasonal ice cream flavors and treats, including chocolate toffee ice cream sandwiches,strawberry and peach swirl sorbet push pops, and brownie ice cream sundaes. Specially made, fido-friendly ice cream will also be available, so dogs are welcome to come enjoy some gourmet bites as well.
Creative guests are also invited to visit TRACE’s Facebook page and suggest an ice cream flavor they’d like to see at the social. The most inventive, delicious flavor, as chosen by Chef Begaye, will be created and served at the event for everyone to enjoy. The lucky winner will also receive a $50 TRACE gift card.
The social is located downtown on the patio at TRACE, just two blocks east of The Austonian downtown luxury condominiums. Admission to the event is free and kids and dogs are welcome, but guests can “earn their cone” with a school supply donation. More info about SafePlace and donation suggestions are available here.
